Cannibal Rabbit is a Japanese punk band featuring a female lead vocal and an edgy sound.

Cannibal Rabbit’s first album, “Senser” is actually pretty good. I was expecting annoying high-pitched vocals, and annoying abrasive guitars. However, I was proven wrong by actually listening to the record. Now don’t get me wrong, most of the songs are high-energy but they are not annoying. They actually remind me of a slightly heavier Limited Express (has gone?) but a little less abrasive with the speed.

The album itself, is actually pretty dynamic with the moods its presents. That’s a big thing for me. If every song sounds the same for the entire album it doesn’t really feel like anything worth listening to. Cannibal Rabbits have created a unique experience with their very first effort. That’s something a lot of bands these days fail to do.

They’re pretty good, and I hope they tour the states at some point. I think the American audience that attends Japanese music shows would definitely attend their performances.

I know it’s not really my place to say this, but supporting a band and showing interest is what gives them moreĀ  opportunities. If you like them, I hope you support them, because I’d love to see them here in the states! You can watch more Cannibal Rabbits videos or buy their songs at their JapanFiles page
