SNMT All Free All The Time On Bandcamp until 2012

So I was going to sit down to make some more SNMT music today, but instead I took a good six hours uploading the missing half of our back catalog.

Originally, I intentionally did not upload material from 2003-2004 because I felt it was somewhat embarrassing. Not sure why I didn’t upload the other things. Either way, it’s all there now so everyone can listen to all the same music before I started running the netlabel solely through the blog and stopped updating the ‘home page’.

Why am I making everything free?

It’s simple, really. Bandcamp gives you X amount of free downloads per month.s I’ve accrued 494 free downloads to give out to people somehow. It’s only supposed to be 200 a month, but I somehow had 500 at one point. I want to see how big of a dent I can make in that number by 2012!

There’s also certain promotional reasons! I plan on releasing a short EP within the year, and 93 songs split between five albums shortly thereafter to coincide with my book. It’s free stuff. Take it all. Share it on your bookfaces, tumblers, and tweeters or whatever people use these days.

I don’t care if people like it or hate it. It’s fire sale!

There’s one stipulation. It will say ‘name your price’ on each album under the ‘buy’ tab. You can just input zero (no price) and you will get the albums. I was far too lazy do this for each separate song, but you can grab them for free with an album so I don’t think it matters as much. You don’t have to put 0 in the box if you’d rather support my cause.

An Lucky, which used to be to be $9.99 is now $3.99 on Bandcamp. I have no control over iTunes prices, but who really uses iTunes anymore anyways? What is this, 2008? More like two-thousand and late!

I’m just jealous I never got to use that reference until now.

You can still enjoy the crisp sounds of An Lucky for free via streaming on bandcamp or last.fm. However, I must ask that you reconsider! Like most everybody else, I have fallen on hard times and could use the extra $3.99. I am literally a starving artist.

Woe is me, etc. Fine fine, be that way.

I suppose this would be a good time to mention that me the female half of SNMT is no longer part of the group as we are getting a divorce. I don’t want to get into personal stuff here on the old internet.

I’m just saying. Bands usually announce when a member leaves. Don’t judge! Just buy! Come on now!

SNMT released another silly album fully of silliness quite some time ago, but they forgot to tell anyone about it!

SPACE HYMNALS takes you back to a much simpler time when space whales roamed the galaxies. Before we had working telegraphs, before we knew how to turn our souls into black holes. All we had were prayers to a unicorn goddess floating in the sky. Those prayers later came to be known as space hymnals.

Coming in at over 50 minutes, you’ll be experiencing clusters of sound created from the depths of Delta Quadrant: the Apple iPad. A little bit of theremin and keyboard layered on top of each other like a space car pile-up.

SNMT – !!!!zzz/SEX Now Available!

Cold off the presses, a relatively new release from SNMT is available!

It’s only $2 since it’s only two songs. The first song, !!!!zzz is an aural tour-de-force that teaches everyone how to cook eggs properly. The second track, coming in at only 30 seconds is called SEX and it’s just me shouting the word sex over and over again with some accompaniment.

SNMT New Album “An Lucky” Now Available!

Black Flower Music is proud to present a new release from its very own noise unit SNMT.

Now available on Itunes, “An Lucky” is a ten-track rollercoaster of loudness. Ranging from feedback driven static concoctions to wasteland guitar riffs. SNMT has gone from ambient to aggressive in the past, but this album will knock you out. It’s loud and it doesn’t care what you think.

Keeping with SNMT tradition, not every song is made with the same instrumentation. The album features a track with the vocaloid synthesizer, and many tracks using various DSi, ipad, other computer tools, as well as the usual electric guitar and Korg kaoss pad.

Many of the tracks on this album are loud, the way SNMT intended them to be.
